What two volunteers found on a routine home visit
A rent-assistance call turned into something bigger when Vincentians sat at the kitchen table and really listened.

The call was about a past-due electric bill. By the end of the visit, the conference had connected the family to a food pantry, a medication program, and a job-readiness partner.
The home visit is the whole model
For 150 years, the heart of the Society has been two neighbors showing up at a third neighbor's door — not to process a case, but to listen.
